Welcome to Alive & In Color

A Movement for The Community, by The Community, Toward a Thriving Future

Alive & In Color was founded in the fall of 2020, as a whole-health community outreach initiative by Fulton County Government, The Fulton County Board of Health, The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, & The BLK+Cross. We are now an international community of 800+ Trusted Messengers, including Health Professionals, Health Advocates, Community Health Workers, Peer Ambassadors and more – all working to advance health and well-being in socially vulnerable communities of color.

We are committed to empowering members of our community with the information, tools, and training they need to drive healthy and just change. Our approach to health literacy communications and social advocacy is rooted in community-based, participatory storytelling backed by neuroscience and steeped in culture.

As a member of the Alive & In Color Community, you will enjoy access to:

  • The Weekly Watch, our weekly round-up of health news delivered to your inbox every Monday!

  • Ambassador Tools & Resources, our searchable resource library of Tip Sheets, Training Videos, Community Town Halls, PSAs, Research Findings, and more! We are continually updating this resource with new materials centered on COVID-19/the COVID Vaccine, Maternal Health, Mental & Behavioral Health, Affordable Housing, and other Health/Continuum of Care topics, so please be sure to check the site for new content regularly!

  • Alive & In Color Trusted Messenger & Ambassador Community, a peer network for registered members to connect, share, and engage with other members around topics related to health literacy.
